This depicts the feel my future scenario is after. Sleek and uniform yet somewhat lonely. Elements of light show life on the inside. A hard exterior with a soft middle much like a stone fruit. A lychee for example has an abrasive exterior skin to protect the soft flesh on the inside. The delicate lives of the people inside are protected from the harsh economic climate which brought them to the Hive. The Hive acts a place of solitude and a harbour for new life.
Fluorescent strip lighting helps give a futuristic feel taking inspiration from my favourite science fiction movies - Tron. The full colour render isn't as emotive however to the more washed out image above. ore life is yet to be given to this facade though to steer it away from a too bleak prison feel. the development of the atriums and connecting roof will help facilitate this shift in aesthetic.
